FACTORS THAT CAUSE PIGMENTATION ON TEETH

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR TEETH WHITENING
- In patients who have not recently had their dental and periodontal health evaluated. Extensive caries, cervical erosions and fractures must be checked before any procedure to avoid sensitivity during whitening. Whitening is also contraindicated in very young children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with allergies to hydrogen peroxide or carbamides.
- Long-term maintenance of the whitening results requires careful adherence to the instructions provided by the dentist, particularly regarding smoking, oral hygiene, and diet.
